Our Vision
Our goal is to create an impactful and sustainable Community Interest Company by transforming our existing forlorn barn into a vibrant workshop space, focused on empowering women through practical skills training. The initiative aims to break down gender stereotypes by providing a safe and supportive environment for women and those who identify as female, regardless of their skill level.
Workshops will cover essential DIY skills, including car and bicycle maintenance, tiling, and more, fostering confidence and competence among participants. In addition to skill-building workshops, North End Farm will also feature traditional handcraft workshops in knitting, sewing, and repair skills, promoting sustainability by encouraging participants to fix rather than discard items.
To increase income and strengthen our sense of community will host occasional small community events celebrating traditional English countryside festivals, such as an annual wassail.
To further support the community, North End Farm will aim to establish a tool library for "friends of North End Farm," alleviating financial burdens associated with purchasing infrequently used tools and reducing waste. This initiative not only promotes practical skills but also aims to cultivate a strong sense of community among participants, encouraging collaboration and shared learning experiences.
Through these efforts, North End Farm aspires to create an inclusive space where women can thrive and connect with one another while gaining valuable skills for everyday life.
